Jason Augustus Jeffrey After NYCC

     In 1860, Jason Augustus Jeffrey married Cynthis Jeffrey. Jeffrey and his wife had three children named Mary A., George H. and Augustus. Records show at twelve years old George H. opened his own savings account in the Freedman's Bank and also evntually study at the Mulberry Street School in Manhattan. Jason A. Jeffrey also became a teacher in Geneva, New York. Jeffrey contined to be active throughout his life in the African American community including leading in the community at a West Indies Emancipation celebration.
