Sarah Boston

Introduction

Sarah Boston attended New York Central College for just two years, during the 1853-1855 academic years. She was the daughter of an influential free African American family in Poughkeepsie, New York. This exhibit tells her family’s story and explores Sarah’s life after she left Central College.
