Jacob Dever Gilliard

Jacob D. Gilliard attended New York Central College for just two years, during the 1850-1852 academic years. He was the son of an influential free African American family in Baltimore. This exhibit tells his family’s story and explores Jacob’s life and connections after he left Central College.
